Ruben's House of Classics

From a young age, Ruben immersed himself in the world of cars, embracing his motto, "Don't Dream It, Build It!" His first project, a 1983 Buick Riviera converted into a convertible, confirmed his passion for restoration, which quickly became a hobby. Twelve years ago, seeking guidance for his aspirations, Ruben sought assistance from the SBDC. Here, he gained insights into legal formation options and the assumed name process, attending informative sessions that propelled his journey. Further empowerment came through collaborations with the PTAC/APEX Accelerator. With the aid of Mark, the PTAC Consultant, and Velma, Ruben’s Office Secretary, Ruben discovered and secured certifications previously unknown to him. Today, Ruben's House of Classics stands proudly as HUB, HubZone, and TxDOT Certified, awaiting news on the 8a application.

Driven by his love for classic cars, Ruben's dream was realized when he founded "Ruben's House of Classics." His pride in its success resonates: "Here we are, 12 years later, and this dream of mine is a successful reality." Now, fulfilling the dreams of his customers brings him joy. Ruben's House of Classics has grown remarkably in multiple dimensions, expanding from a humble 5,000-square-foot space to an expansive 22,500-square-foot facility across multiple levels in just a decade. This growth is not just in physical space; it also extends to diverse revenue streams. Specializing in full and partial restorations of classic cars spanning from the 1920s to the 1980s, their expertise spans paintwork, bodywork, fabrication, woodworking, interiors, and related services. Many of Ruben's restoration clientele hails from across the United States and abroad. Enthusiasts from Japan, Dubai, and the United Kingdom entrust their beloved vehicles to Ruben's House of Classics. Embracing strategic expansion, the business now offers vehicle wrapping and collision repairs for newer vehicles. Furthermore, Ruben's House of Classics has diversified into creating custom metal art, fire pits, collapsible grills, home decor items, and commercial signage. This journey reflects Ruben's unwavering dedication and commitment to excellence that has transformed a childhood passion into a global hub for automotive restoration and creative craftsmanship.
